About us

Havilah Praise Chapel is a family of disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are a community of people who live in joyful communion with Christ as we seek to Learn, Live and Lead (LLL) others to Him.

Our goal is to make disciples, not just decisions. To help new converts get grounded in the word and on the path of fruitfulness in Christ, our Mission will plant New Testament churches across the world.

Havilah Praise Chapel is under the umbrella of Havilah Mission founded under the influence of the Holy Spirit through His servant Rev. Andy Kwamena Simpson in the year AD 2020.

The first of such was launched on April 4, 2021 in Accra – Ghana called the Miracle Temple. The church has since grown to a congregation size of 220 and holds two worship services every Sunday morning.

  • To establish and help build up other New Testament churches so as to effectively reach for Jesus Christ as many people as possible; to engage in any and all lawful activities incidental to the foregoing purposes and any lawful activities authorized by the relevant civil law.

Our Seven Core Values

Servanthood

Christ not only died for our sins, but He lived to serve both God and man. Jesus submitted His will to the will of the Father (John 4:34; Matthew 26:39). Jesus served the Father by serving mankind. Lest any of us should think we are of too high a station to serve our fellow man, we would do well to look to the example of Christ.

Our service to God and man is not to be performed in a spirit of grumbling and complaining, but cheerfully and out of love (2 Corinthians 9:7). God commands us in His Word not to love in mere talk or word, but both in deed and in truth (1 John 3:17–18).

People & Relationship

Jesus paid the highest price possible by dying on the cross to redeem man. Therefore, we treat everyone as a special treasure of the Lord. Irrespective of your race, nationality, gender, age, or social status you are special to God and to us because Christ died for all people.

As we grow larger, we seek to grow smaller. Small groups provide an atmosphere of unity, love, and care. We are connected to one another and support one another through these valuable relationships. Therefore, we will seek to incorporate every member into a small group community. By His grace, we will endeavor to provide a mentoring relationship for everyone at Havilah Praise Chapel. Acts 2:46-47

Application of the Word of God

The Bible says if we hear the Word only, and do not apply it, we are foolish and unstable. God desires to change our lives into His image as His Word takes root in our hearts and grows up in us. Therefore, we will focus on preaching and teaching God’s Word to promote faithful obedience to Him in our daily lives.

Spiritual Gifts

We believe all the gifts of the Spirit are for the church today. Therefore, we earnestly seek and desire that His presence be seen in us as the gifts of the Spirit operate freely.

Creativity

God is a creative God! When His Spirit flows in us, we become creative people. Therefore, we will use all means at our disposal to promote and encourage creativity in worship, teaching, and outreach.

Integrity

We believe in aligning our thoughts, motivations, attitudes and actions with the ethical principles found in God’s Word. In both our personal lives and our ministry, what we believe, what we say and what we do should be consistent, congruent, reliable and transparent.

Church Empowerment

It is God’s plan that every member be a minister. Everyone at Havilah Praise Chapel has a part to play in our church, by using their individual gifts for the Lord’s service. Therefore, we will empower the church to do His work by equipping, teaching, and releasing His people for service. Romans 12:5-8; Ephesians 4:11-13

Our Lifestyle Statement

Beliefs are not worth much unless they are translated into actions. Based on what the Bible teaches, we feel very strongly about the following six practices:

  • The Bible Is Our Sole Authority

Since God’s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is “What does the Bible say?” We practice daily Bible reading, Bible study, and Bible memorization. The Bible is the basis for all we believe and practice. (2 Tim. 3:15)

  • The Priesthood of Every Believer

The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to “full time” Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place of service and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible reading. (Rev. 1:6, 1 Pet. 2:9)

  • Tithing

At Havilah Praise Chapel we practice tithing for the support of Christ’s body, the church, as God commands. We recognize that giving 10% of our income is the Biblical standard of giving. (Lev. 26:30, Matthew 23:23).

  • Spirit-led Living

We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us. So we seek to practice a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right. (Phil. 2:13, Eph. 5:18, John 15:5).

  • Telling Others About Christ

It is the responsibility of every Christian to share the Good News with those with whom God brings us into contact. We practice personal sharing about Christ and inviting friends to church. (1 Peter 3:15)
